1 3/4" We Remember Raymond McCreesh 1957-1981. Raymond McCreesh was a member of the IRA (Irish Republican Army) youth wing. In 1976, McCreesh and one other was captured while attempting to ambush British officers. While in prison he died while taking part in the 1981 Irish Hunger Strike. This button commemorates his efforts to achieve an independent and united Ireland. Near mint.
