Edwin Stuart for Governor of PA with Teddy Roosevelt

The artist of this 7/8" pinback sure fit a lot of information and great graphics on such a small surface! In 1906 Edwin Stewart ran for Governor of Pennsylvania on the coattails of President Roosevelt. This button certainly did it's job aligning Stuart with the Republican streak of prosperity and TR's popularity, he won with 50.3% of the vote. Whitehead & Hoag backpaper. Celluloid split cuts through TR's shoulder, seen in reflected light or to the touch, otherwise displays very well.
